About the Honorary Consul

My name is Sandra Gizela Sabrowsky, and I have the honour of serving as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Angola for the Federal States of Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, and Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania.

I am Angolan by origin, born and raised in Angola. I spent seventeen years in South Africa, where I completed academic studies in Business Administration and Economics, and established a multicultural German–Angolan family – a personal reflection of the friendship between our two peoples.

For the past fourteen years, I have been resident in the Federal Republic of Germany, where I have developed a solid career in the private sector, with professional experience in commercial insurance, project investment, and international trade instruments.

As Honorary Consul, I am committed to serving Angolan citizens in Northern Germany and to deepening diplomatic, economic, cultural, and academic relations between the Republic of Angola and the Federal Republic of Germany.

Our mission

The mission of the Office of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Angola in Northern Germany is guided by the following principles:

To safeguard and support Angolan citizens residing in, or travelling through, the region;
To promote and strengthen economic, cultural, academic, and scientific relations between Angola and the Federal Republic of Germany;
To provide assistance in emergency situations involving Angolan citizens;
To support the Angolan community, encouraging integration and reinforcing ties with the Angolan State and local institutions;
To promote and communicate the image and potential of Angola, thereby contributing to the creation of opportunities for cooperation and investment.

Institutional Note

The Office of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Angola in Northern Germany operates in full compliance with the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (1963), as well as with the legislation of the Republic of Angola.

The Office is entrusted with representing Angola before regional authorities and serves as a bridge between citizens, institutions, and businesses, with particular focus on the Federal States of Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, and Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania.

It should be noted that the Office of the Honorary Consul does not issue passports or visas, as these responsibilities are exclusively reserved for the Embassy and Consulates of the Republic of Angola.
